About

Evening Coders Limited is an Agile Transformation Coaching and Mentoring Consultancy firm based in Kent and founded by Jose Casal-Gimenez.

Jose is an experienced Agile practitioner, technical manager and software developer with an exceptional track record of delivering innovative business solutions.

Having started developing web pages in 1995, Jose established himself as a trusted Web freelancer while studying for his postgraduate degree at the University of Kent. This led to Jose joining the University Web Development team in 2000 where he was responsible for delivering a series of very successful web-based business solutions that transformed key areas of the University’s core business operation.

In 2006, Jose joined P&O Ferries where he was quickly appointed as Development Manager leading a team of 30 talented developers. During his 4-year tenure, Jose established a rigorous training & performance programme as well as an initiative to adopt Agile methods. These won him several plaudits within the organisation.

During his years at the University and P&O Ferries, Jose continued providing business advice and support to local organisations, partly through his involvement with the Kent branch of BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT, of which Jose became the Chairman in 2009. As a result of his commitment to the IT community in Kent, he was awarded a Fellowship of BCS and obtained his Chartered IT Professional status in 2009.

Following his departure from P&O, Jose has established an Agile Transformation coaching and mentoring consultancy advising leading organisations in the UK public and private sector as well as joined Everyday Limited as a Technical Director where he can employ his extensive experience in leading successful software development teams.

On top of his FBCS and CITP accolades, Jose holds BEng and MSc degrees and is trained as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), DSDM Advanced Practitioner, DSDM Agile Project Lead and is a APMG Agile Project Management Practitioner and Prince2 Practitioner.
